Tea Time

So lately I've only been updating sporadicly, (when the moons align), so I believe some catching up is in order.
This gab session is sponsored by some absolutely divine pomegranate tea & my bomb new toe nail color (as it drys lol) :]

1. I GRADUATED !!!

Yes, yes! Throw some confetti in the air & pop a balloon or two, ya girl now proudly has a Bachelor's of Science in Molecular Biology, with double minors in Chemistry and Psychology. *Whew*! A mouthful, trust me I know, I've had to say it often enough these last few weeks haha. I really thank God though that I finished in four years, filled with amazing, lifelong memories :]

2. Soooo .. What's Up Next?

Right now I'm just happy to breathe without the thought of a Immunology test or research paper looming over my head! I've been on the job hunt, trying to put my pretty degree to use (not nearly as fab as it sounds or SHOULD BE! hmph), but I'm confident I'll be landing something spectacular sooner then later :]. And also sooner then later, I'll be going back to school (Med School), because I know if I get too comfortable I won't ever want to lol.
But in the mean time ....
FUN - wooo!
SUN - wooo!!
BEACH, CONCERTS, EVENTS, SHOWS, PARTIES, FRIENDS, SUMMER MEMORIES - woo, Woo, WOOO !!
work (soon) - blah
BLOGGING - WOO!!

Most importantly (to my Hauties) - blogging!
I have time & time has me lol, So blog I shall, & Read you Must! :]
xoxo

If You Knew Better You'd Do Better...

Doctors in a region of Nigerian have been threatening strikes because of non-implementation of their salary contracts, among other grievances. They are undergoing meetings & negotiations with the government, giving them 21 days to meet their demands. The chairman of the state's branch of the Nigerian Medical Association, Daiyabu Ibrahim, is urging "the federal and state governments to address the shortage of medical equipment in the country to boost health care delivery to the people".

This truly breaks my heart. The Nigerian government is notorious for abusing funding and revenue, and the people suffer because of it. Nigeria's lack of medical personnel and supply is one of the main reasons I am endeavoring to becoming a doctor.

Please pray for us ..

The Perfect Date

I'm sure most ladies can agree when I say I'm tired of going on the average dinner & a movie date. There are so many other opportunities to experience new things while enjoying the company of a date; it's time for cliche dates to take a back seat! Personally I love to indulge in different cultures & ideas, particularly through art.

Here are some of my ideal places for a date:
- Art Exhibit
- Museum
- Zoos & Aquariums
- Poetry Slams & Open Mics
- Ferry Ride around the City
- Jazz Club
- Street Fair or Festival
- Plays & Musicals
- Planetarium to view the stars

Of course you don't have to go out to have a good time. Intimate nights at home with a nice home cooked meal are just as appreciated.

What is your idea of a perfect date? PLEASE feel free to share in a comment! :)

I have a lot of posts I can't wait to share but please bear with me as I try to finish this semester with flying colors.

Good luck to everyone who is in the same boat as I, work hard & do well! :)

There's a Story Behing Every Image

I came across street art featuring images of the homeless.
Artist Mike Newton said he saw police move the homeless from place to place, which inspired him to create these images. "Removing me won't solve the problem".

The message these photos send is powerful. It's not good enough to just FEEL bad though, impact requires action. Time to give my neglected clothes away, if I'm not wearing them someone else can. Especially during the approaching holiday season, we all need to remember those who are not as fortunate as ourselves. Be a blessing to someone else :)

Twitter, Meet Kanye

@KanyeWest is arguably the most entertaining person to ever create a twitter account. He's arrogant, random, self conscious, comical, and infectiously amusing. I don't think I could ever unfollow him, because 90% of the time his tweets actually make me laugh out loud -- like stfu ye! haha. Here are some of my favorite of his outrageous tweets:

"I think Twitter was designed specifically with me in mind just my humble opinion
hahhahaaahaaa humble hahahahahaaaa"

"Tell everyone at the label only use Gothic or Helvetic fonts for email blasts unless I otherwise approve"

"Is it wrong to wear a CHANEL dinner jacket with a T shirt to the airport if it's still breakfast time
out here in Singapore uugh TOO LATE!"

"I ordered the salmon medium instead of medium well I didn't want to ruin the magic"

"120,000!! (followers) This is way to much I need a moment!!!
Can I quote myself or is that like talking in 3rd person which Kanye loves to do LOL"

"She said she can jog in those heels ... I said, those heels must be Lanvin!"

"Being nice is the shit ... working on being a doper person #ITSAPROCESS"

We all self conscious I'm just the first to admit it

& It Came to Me, Like an Epiphany ...

Random epiphany I had in the car on the way home from church:
I really cant entertain these assholes anymore. Like at ALL. It's disrespecting my dad honestly. He treats me like a princess and loves me TOO much! So how can I parade around with these fools and settle for their bs, like I don't know or haven't been shown any better? Ya, doesn't make sense. Its backwards. Life only moves forward ...

Deuces Remix (Minus the Hype)

The Deuces Remix is an undeniably good song. The melody switch in the beginning is phenom! And Drake's verse has that familiar heartthrob vibe we all love. But I think all these rave reviews a hyped. People are no longer jumping bandwagons, they are now chartering planes.
If you ask me, it could've been better. Where was Chris Brown..lost till the end? Ehhh ... And as much as i loveee Mr. Three Thou I don't think he fit well with the rest of the song. Plus where do these artists get away rapping these basic lines? Not only that, ya'll eat it up like Sunday breakfast!! 'Act like there's gum in your hair, girl cut it out' Really Fab?

But hey whatever floats your sinking boat lol.

But like I said, these are just my opinions. Take a listen for yourself:

Don't gas me up, I like to runnin on E
